Straw Poll

Gunners fans might be interested to consider their side’s results over the past four games and compare them with the teams occupying the top two places in the Premiership.

At the Emirates, Arsenal won 6-2 against Blackburn Rovers and 4-0 against Charlton Athletic. They also beat Watford 2-1 at Vicarage Road and lost 1-0 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

That little lot adds up to 9 points out of a possible 12, with 12 goals scored and only 4 conceded. Much better than Chelsea, who could only manage a miserable 6 points, with just 7 goals for and 6 against and one point behind Manchester United, whose goal tally (11 for, 5 against) is marginally inferior.

Interestingly enough, it’s the two teams who play the most entertaining football who come out on top. Which begs the question, why is Jose bullish?
