Another Bore Draw
On the day after Arsenal’s youngsters thrashed Liverpool 6-3 at Anfield with a sparkling display of football, Chelsea got a 1-1 draw away to Wycombe Wanderers. A Chelsea side which featured Geremi, Essien, Ferreira, Cole, Ballack, Makelele, Lampard, Bridge and Wright-Phillips.
Unlike Arsenal, the Premiership Champions played boring football against modest opposition and in the end ground out an undistinguished result.
Some people might not find it surprising that, having established a habit of drawing in the Premiership recently, they should manage it at Wycombe.
But surely it has long since passed the stage when Mr Abramovic is entitled to expect a great deal more for his money. Not to mention the fans.
