The Inexorables
You have to hand it to Chelsea. For going to the City of Manchester Stadium, taking on a vibrant, confident, free-scoring side like Manchester City and crushing them 1-0 with a 28th minute penalty from the incomparable Lumpy Lampard. For slashing Manchester United’s lead at the top of the Premiership to a mere six points. For entertaining a big crowd and an even bigger television audience with a brand of exciting attacking football that’s all their own.
They don’t call them the entertainers for nothing. For that kind of misrepresentation people would expect to be paid extremely handsomely.
