It's Just F.A.
It seems that awful man Arsene Wenger is in trouble yet again, so what has he been up to this time? Evidently, the anonymous old f---s at the F.A. disciplinary committee have once again been brought to the verge of apoplexy and have charged him (not for the first time) with improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute.
And you can hardly blame them. Do you know, he actually had the audacity to cast aspersions on F.A. disciplinary procedures and to criticise a match official in the Carling Cup final, when all the poor chap did was allow Chelsea a goal that was offside and then in the second half identify Emmanuel Adebayor as throwing a punch when actually he was trying to keep the peace.
So what is it exactly that makes the Arsenal manager such a recidivist? Is it that he’s French? Or is he too tall? Perhaps it’s because he doesn’t swear fluently in Portuguese, or look like Fred Flintstone? Possibly he doesn’t understand that the F.A. and match officials may not often be right, but they are never wrong. Maybe the F.A. are just sulking because he wouldn’t take the England job. Or could it simply be that irritating determination of his to tell the truth, coupled with a stubborn refusal to come to heel and make appropriately obsequious gestures towards a faceless committee that keeps hammering him while others get away with murder?
Let’s face it, if you’re a tall, intelligent, articulate and honourable Frenchman whose team has the best disciplinary record in the country and plays magical football, you haven’t got much going for you. It’s time Arsene Wenger OBE realised that the F.A. disciplinary committee don’t want his sort over here, and took what’s coming to him.
