Fulham Fire Coleman

Good news for anyone looking for a bright, enthusiastic manager with top level experience and the ability to perform miracles on a tight budget – Chris Coleman has become unexpectedly available, courtesy of Fulham’s decision to press the panic button after a recent run of poor results and in spite of the fact that with 5 games to go they were 4 points clear of the relegation zone.

Now Lawrie Sanchez has been brought in as a caretaker to rescue the ship – no doubt on the strength of his success in the international arena as manager of Northern Ireland – and if Fulham stay in the Premiership, the decision to dismiss Coleman will be said to have been vindicated. Allowing for the traditional galvanising effect of a change in management, that is highly likely, but there are many (including the players) who believe that the outcome would have been the same if the club had kept faith with Chris. After all he has done for Fulham, he deserved better treatment.
