Griping
Bolton Wanderers v Chelsea. Three good chances squandered by the home side and another step towards the title by the visitors.
Are Chelsea lucky? Well, they were lucky to have Phil Dowd in charge. It made it easier for Essien to perform a quadruple roll with triple grimace and get Gardner booked and it made it more likely that some things which would have been picked up by an experienced referee went unnoticed. And they were lucky to have Alan Wiley as the fourth official – as the Special One no doubt realises.
Apart from all that, it was a couple of good goals – one from a John Terry header and a Lampard goal after a beautifully timed stroll into the box – and the usual Chelsea efficiency.
Griping stuff.
And it isn’t a spelling mistake!
