Arsenal at the World Cup
With all the money at their disposal, you would confidently expect Chelsea to have provided more players to World Cup squads than any other Premiership club. And by some distance.
Apparently not. According to reports, Chelsea have 16 players going to Germany – and so do Arsenal. An indication, perhaps, that though Arsenal players cost less, they achieve more.
Between them, the Gunners’ 16 will represent Brazil, the Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Holland, the Ivory Coast, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Togo. And you wouldn’t bet against at least one of them returning with a winner’s medal.
