Young Guns Outclass Dinamo

A predominantly young Arsenal side, skilfully led by the vastly experienced Gilberto Silva, made light of a difficult tie against a potentially dangerous Dinamo Zagreb to set up a relatively comfortable second leg in the magnificent Emirates Stadium in a fortnight’s time, courtesy of three clinical second half goals – two from Cesc Fabregas and one from Robin Van Persie.

The ability to dominate possession was the key to a sparkling, composed and mature Arsenal performance, in which midfielders Fabregas, Hleb, Gilberto and new boy Tomas Rosicky were outstanding.
