Chelsea Get Their Sums Wrong

Ashley Cole might like to reconsider his desperate desire to defect to Chelsea in the light of recent news. According to reports, the Blues have offered between £16 and 17.5 million for the Arsenal and England left back (some £9 million below the Gunners’ valuation) and apparently the Special One has described it as “an excellent price for an excellent player” and added defiantly that the club will not stump up a single pound more.

So how does it feel, Ashley, to know that the club you dream of joining values you at around £5 million less than they forked out for Shaun Wright-Phillips? Who, incidentally, doesn’t actually get to play very often!
