Charlton Sign Reid

Twenty four year old midfielder Andy Reid is the latest recruit to Ian Dowie’s new look Charlton squad, joining Amdy Faye, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Cristian Bolanos, Djimi Traore, Scott Carson, Simon Walton and Cory Gibbs, in a 4 year deal that could be worth as much as £3 million.

A fresh start should suit the Republic of Ireland and ex-Nottingham Forest star down to the ground. In around 19 disappointing months at Spurs, he only managed 27 appearances and 1 goal, and on many occasions he had to put up with less than flattering comments from fans about his weight.
