Even at this early stage in the season, Fulham boss Chris Coleman can scarcely contain his delight at the summer capture of 27 year old midfielder Jimmy Bullard from Wigan Athletic, which he describes as “the best £2 million we ever spent.”

Bullard has become an instant hero at Craven Cottage, especially after his inspirational performance against Sheffield United, when his all action display included a magnificent 25 yard curling free kick on 40 minutes which proved to be the only goal of the game.
