A Touch Less Class
It would be interesting to hear the reasoning behind Sir Alex Ferguson’s decision to select John O’Shea to face Arsenal at Old Trafford and to leave Michael Carrick on the bench. Presumably, this was a thought process which at no point had anything to do with class, which O’Shea lacks and Carrick has in abundance. And if Sir Alex felt that O’Shea was better able to contain Arsenal, he might like to re-think that bit too – though Julio Baptista was clearly grateful for the pass that nearly gave him a goal.
