Leading With Style
In the sombre surroundings of Ewood Park on a day lashed by gusting wind and driving rain, Manchester United faced the challenge of former player Mark Hughes’ obdurate Blackburn Rovers side and emerged victorious, courtesy of a 63rd minute goal from Saha, who continues to give the impression that the departed Ruud Van Nistelrooy is not much missed in spite of his successful start in the colours of Real Madrid.
And in the process they served notice on cash rich Chelsea that they are absolutely determined to remain at the top of the Premiership, where 12 games into the season they currently enjoy a 3 point lead and a massive 7 goal difference advantage over the Champions. Not to mention a reputation for playing much more interesting football.
At which point the words ‘Mourinho’ and ‘rattled’ inevitably spring to mind.
