World Domination

According to Chief Executive Peter Kenyon, Chelsea plan to be the biggest football club on earth by 2014 – though quite why he has chosen 2014 is not entirely clear. No doubt it’s all part of an elaborate dalek-like master plan for world domination.

It has to be said that there is something rather sinister about Kenyon’s approach to things. To him, football is a ‘product’, the club is a ‘brand’, the human beings who support them are a ‘fan base’ and the whole thing, apparently, has nothing to do with entertainment.

So, how long will it take the Chelsea that Kenyon are co: are manufacturing to catch up the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal – clubs with a distinguished history and a tradition of attractive, exciting football?
