Adebayor Joins Arsenal

2006 is already shaping up as a great year for 21 year old striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togo international has just completed a dream move from Monaco to Arsenal, he’s off to the African Nations Cup and in the summer he has the World Cup in Germany to look forward to.

Emmanuel, who joins up with his new club immediately after the African Nations Cup, is clearly delighted at the move: “This is a great day for me. I am joining Arsenal, one of Europe’s leading teams.”

And manager Arsene Wenger is convinced the youngster can add a new dimension to Arsenal’s attacking play because “he is tall, good in the air and makes good runs.”
