Walcott Boosts Arsenal's Fire Power

Finally it’s happened. The news that Gunners fans have been waiting and hoping for. Arsenal have signed Theo Walcott, the best 16 year old English prospect since Wayne Rooney, an exciting young player they have been interested in for over two years.

The games he has played since he broke into the Southampton first team and the goals he has scored have provided a glimpse into his potential and the compelling reasons why Arsenal chose him. The pace and grace of his movement. The quality of his passing and his finishing. His composure and maturity. The dedication and enthusiasm he brings to the game.

At least as important is the fact he could have gone anywhere but he chose the Gunners – for his love of the club, his admiration of the manager and the world class players there (and one in particular) from whom he believes he can learn so much and the faith he has that Arsenal is where his extraordinary talents will best be nurtured.
