Cole Out Again

Arsenal’s injury nightmare just goes on and on, and in particular it seems that the left back position has a curse on it, with both Gael Clichy and Ashley Cole suffering setbacks in their recent attempts to regain full fitness.

After three months out with a broken foot, Ashley Cole returned to action in January, only to pick up a thigh injury. And now he’s sidelined again with an ankle problem sustained in the opening minutes of a reserve game against, of all people, bitter rivals Spurs.

Six months ago, no-one could have imagined that Arsenal’s last season at Highbury would be dogged by so many setbacks.
